Jupiter Lend:
$1 billion in 8 days, built on distribution most protocols spend years earning.
We tore apart Jupiter Lend, the lending market built inside Jupiter's dominant Solana trading app, across the same lending-adapted scorecard we've used throughout this series. From a genuinely explosive launch, over $1 billion in deposits within 8 days of its August 2025 public beta, surpassing $1.5 billion in TVL by December 2025 and capturing roughly 35% of Solana's entire lending market as the network's second-largest lender behind Kamino, to a genuinely distinctive architecture: Smart Collateral and Smart Debt, launched with Lend v2 in August 2026, let supplied and borrowed assets simultaneously earn trading fees as DEX liquidity while sitting in a lending position. Real, disclosed Code4rena audits and a dedicated transparency page naming oracle integrations and multisig arrangements per collateral asset. We also found real, disclosed ecosystem-level incidents worth naming precisely: a February 2025 hack of Jupiter's official X account promoted scam memecoins for over $20 million in trader losses, and an earlier JUP airdrop exploit let an attacker use over 9,000 wallets to illegitimately claim roughly $1 million in tokens, neither a breach of Jupiter Lend's own contracts, but both real events worth understanding. At least one detailed analyst source names a real, open question directly: this is a genuinely young, architecturally complex product that hasn't yet been tested by a major liquidity event the way some category peers have; and landed on a score the marketing page won't show you.
Our take, up front: Jupiter Lend is the lending market built inside Jupiter, the dominant Solana trading app we reviewed at the top of our DEX aggregator series (78/100, the highest score in that series). We want to flag a naming collision directly before anything else: an unrelated Indian neobank app is also called "Jupiter" (jupiter.money); this review covers only the Solana-based Jupiter Lend, and we've excluded that neobank's own customer-service complaints from our research entirely. Real, genuinely explosive launch: Jupiter Lend amassed over $1 billion in deposits within 8 days of its August 2025 public beta, a testament to Jupiter's existing distribution rather than a cold start. Real, disclosed rapid growth: TVL surpassed $1.5 billion by early December 2025, roughly 35% of Solana's entire lending market, making it the network's second-largest lender behind Kamino, reviewed earlier in this series. Real, disclosed Code4rena audit engagement covering a detailed program structure (a core Liquidity layer, Lending, Vaults, a multi-oracle price system, flash loans, and a reward-rate model), alongside a dedicated transparency page naming specific oracle integrations and multisig arrangements per collateral asset. Real, genuinely distinctive architecture: Lend v2, launched August 2026, introduced Smart Collateral and Smart Debt, letting supplied and borrowed assets simultaneously earn trading fees as DEX liquidity while sitting in a lending position. What we can't set aside: real, disclosed ecosystem-level security incidents, distinct from a breach of Jupiter Lend's own contracts, but worth understanding. In February 2025, Jupiter's official X account was hacked to promote scam memecoins, causing over $20 million in trader losses; separately, an earlier JUP token airdrop was exploited by an attacker using more than 9,000 wallets to illegitimately claim roughly $1 million in tokens. Real, honest, disclosed open question from a detailed analyst source: Jupiter Lend's architecturally complex, feature-stacked design hasn't yet been tested by a major liquidity event the way Kamino's and SparkLend's have been in 2026, a genuine, disclosed gap in the evidence rather than a confirmed weakness. We weighted all of it below.
Real, no confirmed direct hack or exploit of Jupiter Lend's own smart contracts found in our research. Real, disclosed Code4rena audit engagement covering a detailed program structure (Liquidity core, Lending, Vaults, multi-oracle pricing, flash loans, reward-rate model), alongside a dedicated transparency page naming specific oracle integrations and multisig arrangements per collateral asset. What tempers this: real, disclosed ecosystem-level incidents distinct from Jupiter Lend's own contracts but relevant to overall trust, a February 2025 hack of Jupiter's official X account promoted scam memecoins for over $20 million in trader losses, and an earlier JUP airdrop was exploited via more than 9,000 wallets for roughly $1 million. Real, honestly disclosed by a detailed analyst source: Jupiter Lend's architecturally complex, feature-stacked design hasn't yet been tested by a major liquidity event the way some category peers have.
Pros
- No confirmed direct hack or exploit of Jupiter Lend's own contracts found in our research
- Code4rena audit engagement with a detailed, disclosed program structure
- Dedicated transparency page naming oracle integrations and multisigs per collateral asset
Cons
- Feb 2025 X account hack promoted scam memecoins for over $20M in trader losses (ecosystem-level, not Lend-specific)
- Earlier JUP airdrop Sybil exploit (~$1M), also ecosystem-level rather than Lend-specific
- Not yet tested by a major liquidity event, unlike Kamino or SparkLend, per a detailed analyst source
Real, disclosed, genuinely explosive growth: over $1 billion in deposits within 8 days of the August 2025 public beta. Real, disclosed TVL surpassing $1.5 billion by early December 2025, roughly 35% of Solana's entire lending market, making it the network's second-largest lender behind Kamino.
Pros
- $1B+ in deposits within 8 days of public beta launch
- ~35% of Solana's entire lending market; second-largest Solana lender
Cons
- Still behind Kamino in absolute scale and operating history
Real, disclosed multisig-based governance and fund-movement safeguards, disclosed per asset on Jupiter's dedicated transparency page. Real, disclosed shared JUP token governance with the broader Jupiter ecosystem, itself reviewed earlier in this series with a strong governance track record.
Pros
- Disclosed multisig safeguards, named per collateral asset on a dedicated transparency page
- Benefits from the broader Jupiter ecosystem's established governance track record
Cons
- Less specific detail on Jupiter Lend's own dedicated governance structure in our sources
Real, disclosed, genuinely extensive Solana-ecosystem-specific collateral diversity: JLP (Jupiter's own perpetuals liquidity pool token), multiple Solana liquid staking tokens (INF, JUPSOL, dfdvSOL, fwdSOL), LBTC, and multiple wrapped Bitcoin variants (cbBTC, WBTC, xBTC).
Pros
- Broad, disclosed collateral diversity spanning LSTs, wrapped BTC, and Jupiter's own JLP token
- Per-asset transparency disclosures (oracle, multisig, risk research)
Cons
- Solana-native scope, unlike multi-chain protocols reviewed earlier in this series
Real, disclosed genuine advantage of leveraging Jupiter's existing, massive trading-app user base and distribution, directly evidenced by the 8-day, $1B+ deposit surge. Real, disclosed unified experience within the broader "Jupiter superapp" spanning swaps, perps, lending, and staking in one interface.
Pros
- Direct access from Jupiter's existing, massive trading user base
- Unified superapp experience across swaps, perps, lending, and staking
Cons
- Smart Collateral/Smart Debt add real conceptual complexity for newer users
Real, disclosed, genuinely novel Smart Collateral and Smart Debt features letting deposited and borrowed assets simultaneously earn trading fees as DEX liquidity, stacking lending yield, trading fees, and staking rewards in a single position.
Pros
- Smart Collateral/Smart Debt genuinely stack multiple yield sources in one position
Cons
- Less specific, universally-quoted rate figures disclosed than some competitors in this series
Real, genuinely distinctive Smart Collateral and Smart Debt (Lend v2, Aug 2026), Lifetime PnL tracking, and deep integration with the broader Jupiter ecosystem (JLP, JupUSD, perpetuals, and prediction markets via Polymarket and Kalshi).
Pros
- Genuinely novel Smart Collateral/Smart Debt yield-stacking design
- Deep integration with a broad, active superapp ecosystem
Cons
- Breadth of features adds to the architectural complexity flagged in the security category
Access only through jup.ag directly, and double-check you have the right "Jupiter" before anything else.
Given the real naming collision with an unrelated Indian neobank app, always verify you're on jup.ag or the official Jupiter mobile app before connecting a Solana wallet, and understand that Smart Collateral/Smart Debt positions carry combined lending, trading-fee, and staking-reward exposure, not just simple lending risk, before opting in.
Distribution isn't the same as being tested, and we think it's too early to say Jupiter Lend has been.
The $1 billion in 8 days is real, and it's a genuinely different kind of evidence than anything else in this series: not organic growth earned market by market, but the direct transfer of trust from an already-dominant trading app to a brand-new lending product. That's a real advantage, and it shows up clearly in our Liquidity score. But trust transferred isn't the same as risk tested, and we think it's genuinely too early to know how Jupiter Lend's more complex, feature-stacked design, Smart Collateral and Smart Debt both add real, layered exposure beyond simple lending, will hold up under the kind of stress that Kamino and SparkLend have already been through this year. We also think it's fair to name, clearly, that the broader Jupiter brand has had two real security incidents in the past two years, neither a breach of Lend's own contracts, but both real enough that we didn't want to leave them out just because they technically sit one layer removed. None of this means Jupiter Lend is unsafe. It means the evidence base is younger than its deposit numbers suggest, and we think that distinction is worth making plainly rather than letting an impressive launch stand in for a track record it hasn't had time to build yet.
The scorecard above is deliberately general. Whether Jupiter Lend is right for you depends heavily on which of these you already are.
The existing Jupiter trader who wants lending access without leaving the app or trusting a separate protocol
This is exactly where Jupiter Lend's genuine distribution advantage and unified superapp design deliver real, demonstrated value.
The user who wants to stack lending yield, trading fees, and staking rewards via Smart Collateral or Smart Debt
This genuinely novel yield-stacking design is a real, distinctive feature most competitors don't offer as directly.
The user who verifies they're on jup.ag directly, given the real naming collision with an unrelated banking app
Given what we found in our own research, this specific verification genuinely matters before connecting a wallet.
Anyone who wants a lending protocol whose resilience has already been demonstrated through a real market stress event
Kamino and SparkLend, both reviewed earlier in this series, have that specific kind of evidence; Jupiter Lend doesn't yet.
The scorecard covers the headline judgment calls. These four tables cover the specifics we didn't want to bury in prose; the naming collision disambiguated clearly, the ecosystem-level incidents timelined, Smart Collateral/Smart Debt explained, and our tenth lending-protocol comparison entry.
"Jupiter" is not just one thing
| Jupiter (this review) | Jupiter (unrelated) | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A Solana DEX aggregator, perps exchange, and lending superapp | An Indian neobank/fintech app |
| Domain | jup.ag | jupiter.money |
| Relevant to Jupiter Lend? | Yes, directly | No, entirely unrelated |
We found customer-service complaints during our research that belonged to the unrelated neobank app; we excluded them entirely rather than risk misattributing them to Jupiter Lend.
Ecosystem-level incidents, precisely distinguished from Lend itself
| Date | What happened | Jupiter Lend's contracts affected? |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | JUP airdrop exploited via 9,000+ wallets for ~$1M in tokens | No |
| Feb 6, 2025 | Jupiter's official X account hacked to promote scam memecoins; over $20M in trader losses | No |
Both incidents are real and worth knowing about if you're assessing overall trust in the Jupiter brand, but neither involved a breach of Jupiter Lend's own smart contracts specifically.
Smart Collateral and Smart Debt, explained
| What it does | |
|---|---|
| Smart Collateral | Supplied assets can simultaneously serve as DEX liquidity, earning trading fees on top of lending yield |
| Smart Debt | Borrowed assets can similarly work as DEX liquidity while the loan is outstanding |
| Combined effect | A single position can stack lending yield, trading fees, and (for eligible assets like LSTs) staking rewards |
This genuinely novel design, launched with Lend v2 in August 2026, is opt-in; it adds real, layered exposure beyond simple lending that's worth understanding before enabling it.

Jupiter Lend and Kamino are direct rivals for Solana lending share; Jupiter Lend's real advantage is distribution, while Kamino's is a demonstrated, tested track record through real 2026 stress events.
We don't just want to hand you our number; we want to show you how it sits next to what other review desks and comparison sites have published. We've excluded the unrelated Indian neobank app's own reviews and complaints entirely, given the naming collision described above.
Our score lands moderately below the aggregated industry average; most general reviews we found emphasize the explosive launch and Jupiter's brand trust without weighting the product's relative youth or the ecosystem-level incidents as heavily as our methodology does.

No. Jupiter Lend is part of the Solana-based Jupiter trading superapp (jup.ag). An entirely unrelated Indian neobank app is also called "Jupiter" (jupiter.money); the two share nothing but a name.
We found no confirmed direct hack of Jupiter Lend's own smart contracts. The broader Jupiter brand has had two real, disclosed incidents, a February 2025 X account hack and an earlier JUP airdrop exploit, but neither involved a breach of Jupiter Lend's own contracts.
Jupiter Lend surpassed $1.5 billion by early December 2025, roughly 35% of Solana's entire lending market, making it the network's second-largest lender behind Kamino.
Features launched with Lend v2 in August 2026 that let supplied (Smart Collateral) or borrowed (Smart Debt) assets simultaneously work as DEX liquidity, earning trading fees on top of lending yield and, for eligible assets, staking rewards.
It launched inside Jupiter's already-dominant Solana trading app, giving it direct access to an existing, massive user base rather than needing to build trust and distribution from scratch, which is how it reached $1 billion in deposits within 8 days.
Kamino remains Solana's largest lender with a demonstrated track record of surviving real 2026 stress events with zero bad debt. Jupiter Lend has grown faster on the back of Jupiter's existing distribution, but hasn't yet been tested by a comparable liquidity event, per a detailed analyst source.
JLP (Jupiter's own perpetuals pool token), Solana liquid staking tokens (INF, JUPSOL, dfdvSOL, fwdSOL), LBTC, and wrapped Bitcoin variants (cbBTC, WBTC, xBTC), each with disclosed oracle and multisig details on Jupiter's transparency page.
Yes, it has undergone a Code4rena audit covering its core Liquidity layer, Lending, Vaults, oracle system, and flash-loan functionality, alongside a dedicated transparency page disclosing security details per collateral asset.
