As with Sparrow, Blockstream Jade, and Foundation Passport earlier in this project, this score reflects our general-purpose, cross-asset methodology, and a Bitcoin-only wallet takes a real, structural hit in our Asset category no matter how well it executes its actual mission. Discount that category, and BlueWallet is a genuinely well-built, thoughtfully-designed mobile Bitcoin app with real distinctive touches, especially the decoy wallet feature. The one thing we don't want a reader to miss: on-chain and Lightning are not the same trust model here. Your on-chain Bitcoin is genuinely yours alone. Your Lightning balance, unless you take the extra step of connecting your own node, sits on BlueWallet's infrastructure the way a balance on any custodial app would. That's a completely reasonable default for small, everyday Lightning spending, and a real thing to know before you treat a Lightning balance the same way you'd treat on-chain savings.
