Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux is a French financial technology executive and the Chief Executive Officer of Bitstamp, one of the world’s longest-running and most trusted cryptocurrency exchanges. With a background spanning traditional finance, payments, cybersecurity, and digital assets, he has become a key figure in advancing institutional adoption and regulatory integration within the crypto industry.

Graftieaux studied engineering and finance in France, building expertise in both technology infrastructure and financial systems early in his career. Before entering the cryptocurrency sector, he held senior leadership positions across global financial and payment organizations, including roles focused on digital transformation, risk management, and international business development. His experience working within regulated financial environments later became central to his approach to crypto exchange operations.

Prior to becoming CEO, Graftieaux joined Bitstamp as Global Chief Compliance Officer, where he helped strengthen the company’s regulatory framework, licensing strategy, and institutional relationships.
