Transaction signing is fully air-gapped via QR codes read through a built-in camera, so no data cable connection is required at all. Worth noting for full context: in 2023, security firm Unciphered demonstrated a critical vulnerability on the older OneKey Mini, a different, earlier product in the lineup, that allowed key extraction in about one second using specialized lab equipment; OneKey acknowledged it, patched it, and paid a bug bounty. We found no comparable disclosed vulnerability specific to the Pro itself in our research.

OneKey lists support for 30,000-plus assets across 100-plus chains, among the broadest coverage we've found in this entire series, with integrated staking, NFT, and DeFi access built directly into the app. Its real standout is SignGuard: before you approve a transaction, it cross-references the contract address, token details, and transaction parameters against a continuously updated threat intelligence database, and flags known malicious contracts, phishing sites, or fake token approvals directly on-device before you sign. This is a genuinely unique feature; no other wallet we've reviewed in this category offers real-time scam detection at the point of signing.

A 3.5" IPS color touchscreen, among the largest in this category, is paired with fingerprint authentication built into the power button and haptic feedback that multiple reviewers describe as making setup feel intuitive, typically under 5 minutes. But real, independently-documented complaints paint a more mixed picture of the app specifically: Trustpilot and App Store reviews describe timeout errors, failed transactions that required retrying, and a specific "All networks" balance view that doesn't reliably display every chain a user holds assets on. One detailed account describes real, concrete cost: a user reported being unable to approve a sell transaction in time during a high-volatility period due to app slowness, resulting in a worse execution price.

The device ships in consumer-gadget-quality packaging with anti-tamper seals, described by one reviewer as feeling "less like crypto gear and more like a tiny secure phone." OneKey's separate backup-hardware ecosystem is a real, genuine positive: the OneKey Lite ($25.90) is an NFC-based, battery-free backup card for your recovery phrase, and the OneKey KeyTag ($59) is a titanium plate with your seed phrase laser-engraved for real, physical durability. The Pro itself is battery-dependent, unlike passive card-based wallets, a real, structural long-term consideration.

OneKey has real, substantial institutional backing: Coinbase Ventures invested early, and YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) led a 2025 Series B at a $150 million valuation, genuine credibility signals. Founded in 2019, the company has a reasonable operating history. But a real, well-documented pattern of customer complaints appears consistently across Trustpilot and other review platforms: slow or generic support responses, some specifically describing multi-day email turnaround, and localized support gaps, which reportedly prompted OneKey to launch German-language support directly in response to user feedback. One independent, balanced source summarizes it well: "active development, mixed with frequent complaints about shipping, bugs, and response times."

At $278, this sits at the premium end of the category, but multiple independent sources note the feature set, four secure elements, SignGuard, air-gap signing, wireless charging, is genuinely competitive against similarly or higher-priced alternatives like the Ledger Stax or Trezor Safe 7. No subscription fee; the device price is the entire cost of ownership.

SignGuard alone is a genuinely distinctive, real extra unmatched elsewhere in this series. Fingerprint biometric authentication, Bluetooth, and Qi wireless charging round out a premium feature set, and the separate OneKey Lite and KeyTag backup products give users real, additional options for protecting the recovery phrase itself beyond the primary device.
